Mrs. Grace believes that St. Matthew’s Episcopal offers a very special environment that allows us to reconcile our traditional beliefs and liturgy with today’s advances in Technology and Academics.
Mrs. Grace’s Sacred Studies class offers an informal setting, allowing the children to engage with the Bible through storytelling, active games, crafts, music, and quiet activities. Because the class is held in the nave of the sanctuary, the children learn that Christianity is both joyous and solemn, fun and challenging.
Mrs. Grace is currently the parish coordinator of St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church and has served as the Youth Director for over fifteen years. She brings with her a great love and passion for teaching the Bible and bringing our students into a fuller awareness and appreciation for their relationship with God.
She has boldly incorporated two new Praise and Worship Chapel services into our school’s worship routine. The K2, K3, and K4 students participate in the Friday morning Praise and Worship service, and Kindergarten through Sixth grade students take part and lead the Friday afternoon Praise and Worship service. She directs the morning chapel services Monday-Thursday. We are blessed because of her spiritual leadership.
Mrs. Grace is very nice. I like the Bible activities we get to do.
We have fun with Mrs. Grace. We’re all so happy learning about Jesus. She even gives us snacks that are part of the Bible lessons.
For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord,” plans for good and not evil, to give you a future and a hope.
